Abstract: The use of fiber materials instead of steel in concrete components, not only can enhance the strength, but also can effectively avoid steel corrosion. This paper used basalt fiber net that independent research and development in China to reinforce the sea sand cementitious thin plate. Results show that: the tensile strength of thin plate depend on the tensile strength of basalt fiber net; as well as increased the fiber net layers, the tensile strength of thin plate greatly improved; the tensile strength of fiber reinforced thin plate is slightly lower than steel net reinforced thin plate, but better in ductility. The flexural toughness and flexural capacity of basalt fiber net reinforced thin plate are better than steel net reinforced thin plate, and its equivalent wind load was significantly higher than the specification requirements.
