Research status and development trend of large composite wind power blade recycling technology

Abstract: The new energy industry which represented by wind power has been booming in recent years. Due to the stable chemical structure of epoxy resin in wind power blade, the degradation of blades is extremely slow in natural environment. With large numbers of blades servicing, the end of life cycle and scrapped blades occupy a large area of land, causing the huge environment problem. By sorting out the national policy guidance, this paper points out the urgency of wind power blade recycling and lists the current blade recycling technologies, including mechanical recovery, pyrolysis, chemical recovery and recyclable blade. The review analyzes the differences among various recycling technologies systematically. This paper also discusses the demand in future and development prospects in the recycling field.
