Abstract:
Large scale concrete beams were strengthened by prestressing CFRP laminate with the special mechanical stressing and anchoring tools, then the strengthened beams were carried out to failure under the monotone load. On the basis of experimental results, the prestressing technique is used to rehabilite a railway simplysupported concrete bridge. The strengthened effect is good through testing the change of crack width and the midspan deflection.
