Abstract:

The properties of epoxy film 5228A are analyzed by using rheometer and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).Curing system of resin film infusion is set, based on the results.Laminates are formed, which is reinforced by T700-12k carbon fiber non crimp fabric(NCF) and ply orientation is [(0,90)/(±45)]s.The mechanical properties of laminates are tested. The interlaminar shear strength is 25.3% higher than that of prepreg laminate.A hat-shape beam is successfully fabricated, which dimension is 1000×200×37mm.The quality of beam is inspected with ultrasonic non destructive test(NDT) and metalloscope. The results validate that the beam is compact and non-defective.It will be utilized in a primary structure of satellite. The research shows that epoxy film 5228A has a good processibility, and RFI is suitable for manufacturing complex composite material parts.
