Abstract: The low frequency acoustic scattering characteristics of composite stiffened cylindrical shell and metal stiffened cylindrical shell are calculated and analyzed by using the finite element/infinite element method. In this paper, the acoustic scattering of stiffened cylindrical shells and non-stiffened cylindrical shells with different wave numbers are calculated, and two methods are used for stiffened cylindrical shells, including beam element modeling and shell element modeling. The results show that the modeling method of stiffener has some influence on the calculation accuracy, and it is even significant at some frequency points.
