Abstract: For the bending steel plate with surface cracks, the reinforcement scheme is designed based on the theoretical solution of interface stress distribution of bending steel plate reinforced with composite materials. The finite element simulation was used to analyze the interface stress distribution and the bending behavior of steel plate before and after reinforcement. Finally, the reinforcement scheme and calculation method were verified by experiments. The research shows that the finite element simulation results are consistent with the experimental results. For bending steel plates with surface cracks, reinforcement by CFRP can significantly improve the bending stiffness and bearing capacity, and the reinforcement effect is significant.
