Abstract: The blade root connection of wind turbine is the only and most important component for connecting blade and hub. All the loads applied on the blade are transferred to the hub through the root connection, so the designs of root connection not only affect capacity of bearing loads, but also the length of blade. The targets are "T-type" connection and bushing connection, meanwhile take place research on the stresses of two different blade connections, providing evidences and guidance for the design work and optimization of blade root connection.

Key words: wind turbine blade, blade root joint, "T" bolt connection, bushing
