EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF DAMPING PROPERTY OF FRP AND FRR COMPOSITE MATERIAL

Abstract: Previous studies have shown that the rubber isolators can provide better damping performance than the bearings which enhanced by steel plates,so the researchers applied FRP and FRR composite boards to replace the steel plates in the isolators. In order to improve the damping property in isolator,in this article the dynamic mechanical analyze(DMA) tests has been taken to choose the most suitable composite material between the continuous fiber reinforced composite laminates with different matrixes,such as thermosetting resin,thermoplastic resin and rubber for isolator. After compared and analyzed the results,the author considered that the FRR composite board is the best choice of the isolator.
