Abstract: Epoxy/curing agents fabrications play an important role in a variety of industria fields. Using curing agents with different molecular structure and different quantity can influence the networks of epoxy resin, and further influence the mechanical properties of epoxy/curing agents fabrications effectively. To investigate how the quantity of different curing agents influence the property of epoxy and carbon fiber composites,we use 2 different kinds of aromatic amine curing agents DETDA、DDS with different quantity of them. The different molecular structure and quantity of the curing agents will result in modulus change of the epoxy resin. Test different epoxy/curing agents fabrications using soxhlet extracts, tensile strength test,DSC and DMA method. The results reveals that the reaction activity of DDS is lower than DETDA,and the tensile property,Tg and ILSS of composites of DDS curing system are generally better than DETDA curing system of the same r. In both of the 2 curing systems, with the increasing of r, which is ranging from 0.5 to 1.25, the tensile modulus of resin decrease while the tensile strength increase. And Tg decrease after an increasing. In both 2 systems, it reaches the highest Tg when r=0.75. At the same time, the ILSS of composites decrease while the modulus of resin matrix decrease in both 2 curing systems. The failure modes of composites translate from matrix failure to interface failure as matrix modulus increase.
