HYDROTHERMAL PROPERTIES OF CARBON FIBER REINFORCED PLASTICS

Abstract:

The effect of hydrothermal environment on the carbon reinforced resin composite materials is  remarkable,which can reduce the strength and toughness.This paper presents the studies of the hydrothermal properties of carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) , analyzes the moisure model and diffusion mechanism through theory and experimental.Meanwhile,the paper summarizes the experimental methods and testing means of CFRP’s hydrothermal properties at home and abroad.The status of accelerated aging environment of CFRP is pointed out,some recommendations for future work are proposed.
