Abstract:
In present work,it prepared copper clad laminates based on glass cloth reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE),analyzed the effects of silane treatment and resin content on the flexural strength and morphology of the resulting prepregs. Moreover, the effects of glass cloth content on the peeling strength and the prediction of the dielectric properties were discussed. The results show that the best quality of the composite can be controlled by using the 6032-treated glass fibre and 70 wt% PTFE.The predicted value of dielectric constant agrees quite closely with the experiment results, but the predicted values of tanδdoes not agree with the experiment results.
Key words: polytetrafluoroethylene, copper clad, dielectric properties, flexural strength.
