DISCUSSION ON THE CHINESE STANDARD AND SPECIFICATIONS OF FRP BAR PRODUCTS

Abstract

Abstract: This paper compares the Chinese standard of FRP bar products with the American catalogue for the major mechanical specifications. Based on the results of comparison and related research, this paper points out that the requirements of FRP bars' tensile strength in the current Chinese standard has some deficiencies, and requirements of transverse shear strength and bond strength are absent so far. Suggestions on revising the Chinese standard of FRP bar products and further research are given.
