Abstract: Honeycomb sandwich structures and three different aperture semi-penetrating damage parts were prepared in this paper. The damage is repaired by patching technology, including high temperature repair (homogeneous repair) and middle temperature repair (heterogeneous repair). The mechanical properties were tested at room temperature and high temperature. The results show that there is little difference on performance recovery of the damaged specimens between homogeneous repair and heterogeneous repair. And due to the poor manufacturability and high cure temperature (>177℃), damages tend to occur on other components. Heterogeneous repair, however, has better manufacturability and lower cure temperature, which can not only recover the properties of the damaged successfully but is suitable for rapid repair.
