Abstract: In order to study the wettability of phenolic resin to glass fiber and better guide the actual production, two kinds of phenolic resin and three kinds of glass fiber were investigated in this paper. The best resin and glass fiber was confirmed selected considering the surface tension, viscosity and dynamic contact angle through introducing diluents and dispersants, and combining the target test that determined the wetting rate of resin penetrating into glass fiber, respectively. The results show that the lower the surface tension was, the smaller the viscosity was, the smaller the dynamic contact angle between resin and glass fiber was, and the better the effect of the resin to glass fiber.
