Abstract: A constant temperature viscosity model of 2511-1A epoxy resin system is established in this study based on viscosity experiments. The dual Arrhenius rheological model, the engineering viscosity model and the combined engineering viscosity model are investigated for the application in the resin system, respectively. The results show that the combined engineering viscosity model reflects the dependence of the viscosity on temperature and time better, with the craft time window of resin predicted. According to the relationship between temperature and time, a variant temperature combined engineering viscosity model is established. The change in viscosity is predicted under different heating rates. Good agreement is achieved between the prediction and experimental results, which shows its potential application for the selection of technical parameters of hot pressing process.
