RESEARCH PROGRESS IN THERMOFORMABILITY OF CONTINUOUS FIBER REINFORCED THERMOPLASTIC COMPOSITES

Abstract: Continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic (CFRTP) is one of the hot topics in international composites. In this paper, the thermoforming theory is briefly reviewed. And previous studies on experimental methods and simulation models of CFRTP thermoforming are compared in detail. Also, the influencing factors on the thermoforming of CFRTP are analyzed and the research directions of thermoforming of CFRTP in future are pointed out.
