Abstract: Acoustic emission (AE) signal acquisition of carbon fiber composites in tensile fracture test is completed by using the self-designed AE detection system. Wavelet analysis, spectrum analysis and characteristic parameter analysis are used to analyze the two sets of AE signals obtained in the test. The relationship between the failure characteristic frequency and the damage mode of carbon fibre composites is established, and the main variation rule of acoustic emission signals in the damage process of carbon fibre composites is found.
