Abstract: In this paper, the tension performances of carbon fiber, basalt fiber and their different hybridization reinforced vinyl ester composite tendons were experimentally studied. The test results show that the fracture strain of the hybrid composite tendons increased when the basalt fibers increase gradually, and was higher than that of single carbon fiber composite tendons, showing a positive hybrid effect. But the elastic modulus of the hybrid composite tendons increased if carbon fibers was increased, basically following the law of mixture, while the experimental value of the tensile strength of hybrid composite tendons was higher than the theoretical value.
