STUDY ON INTERFACE OF HIGH PERFORMANCE CARBON FIBER COMPOSITES

Abstract: The surface configuration and interface property of MT300-3K and JHT300-3K were studied,which compared with Toray T300-3K. The SEM results showed that these three kinds of carbon-fiber had the same surface configuration. The testing by single-fiber methods showed that MT300-3K and Toray T300-3K had the similar interface shear strength,which was a little higher than JHT300-3K. Laminates results indicated that MT300-3K, JHT300-3K and Toray T300-3K matched well with 601 resin system,and had the similar interface strength.
